WordPress Developer (Expert level) - Fully Remote

We are a startup web development team looking for a talented Senior WordPress Developer to join us! Work fully remote with flexible hours from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM Sri Lankan time.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop custom WordPress websites
• Create and modify WordPress themes and plugins
• Optimize site performance and ensure mobile-friendliness
• Collaborate with designers to implement visual and interactive elements
• Ensure website security and data protection
• Perform regular updates and maintenance
• Stay updated with WordPress trends and technologies
• Work effectively both independently and in a team

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in WordPress development (themes, plugins)
• Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL
• Experience with responsive design and mobile optimization
• Clean, efficient, and scalable code writing skills
• Familiarity with website security practices
• Knowledge of SEO principles
• Experience with Git or other version control systems
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a WordPress Developer

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Elementor, Divi, or similar frameworks
• Experience with performance optimization techniques
• Understanding of UX/UI principles
• Experience with hosting and deployment processes
• Ability to gather requirements and provide technical guidance

Bonus Skills:

• Shopify, Webflow and React knowledge
