We’re Hiring: Shopify Front End Developer (Remote – NZ Hours)

We are seeking an experienced Shopify Front End Developer (2+ years) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing and optimizing eCommerce platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences across devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and customize responsive Shopify themes using HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
• Translate UX/UI designs into functional interfaces, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to enhance website functionality and user experience.
• Optimize website performance, focusing on Core Web Vitals and SEO best practices.
• Implement animations using tools like GSAP or CSS transitions to enhance user engagement.
• Stay updated with the latest eCommerce trends and technologies to continuously improve the platform.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of proven experience with Shopify and the Liquid templating language.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.
• Understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work NZ time zone hours (9am–5:30pm NZT) and attend 11am stand-ups.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
• Experience with Shopify’s Online Store 2.0 architecture.
• Knowledge of data migration tools like Matrixify.
• Experience integrating third-party Shopify apps and APIs.
• Proficiency with version control tools like Git.
• Background in agency settings and eCommerce projects.
