LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER | JAVA

What You'll Be Doing -

• Working as a Technical Lead to manage projects and a team of up to 5 Java Developers
• Being accountable for both hands-on coding and people leadership
• Training and monitoring the performance of team members
• Code reviewing
• Setting up development and Cl environments

What you'll need to be successful -

• Bilingual with good verbal and written English
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Softwar Engineering or equivalent plus a
• Minimum 5 years of commercial Java experience
• Demonstrated experience in full-stack development
• Solid experience in Java backend development
• Understanding of the software development project managemen lifecycle (end-to-end)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Proven team leadership skills
• Ability to communicate and establish positive relationships with nontechnical stakeholders.
• Organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Exposure to at least some of the following:

• Documenting and building APIs, e.g. JSON, REST
• Linux/web server technology
• Production database services, e.g. MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, MSS
• CI/CD tools, e.g. GitLab CI/CD or equivalent
• Amazon Web Services; e.g. EC2, S3, Elastic Cache, KMS, RDS
• Container tools/microservices, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS

Nice To Have-

• Some payment/authentication industry experience is beneficial but not required
